Ms. Horvitz, first of all, I would like to thank you for this insightful article. I wish Judaism hadn't created Islam like a Frankenstein, but that wasn't the case. As a Christian, I want to express my sorrow at these terrible slanders and attacks that have befallen you, your family, and the Jewish people. Furthermore, the fact that some so-called Christians side with Islam rather than Judaism bothers both me and my Christian father. I believe that Jews and Christians need to stand together against this terrible monster – which is undoubtedly Islam. I had read that Jews were initially close to iconoclasm, and later Protestants and Muslims became involved in this iconoclastic movement. It is significant that Jews, albeit belatedly, have become involved in Western art, which was shaped by Christians in the past.As you mentioned in your article, Jews have distinguished themselves above average and have become highly competent in many fields.Furthermore, secular Jews have shown a tendency to abandon the idea of iconoclasm, producing wonderful Jewish artists. At the end of the day, I think and want to see that we have many things in common, from Moses to Christ, and that we should stand together in solidarity. Like all beautiful things, I support art and your art, because I believe that in the end, it's all we have left. My best regards, Isa E. Ergun
